What's a good way to search for an old sewing pattern if I can't find an "ISBN" number to refer to?

The best way is to do a Google search with the manufacturer name, ie Simplicity, McCall's etc. There are tons of business that deal with old discontinued patterns - if you have the patterns number - that's a bonus!
