What can be done about begging and bogus lottery emails including offers of money laundering activities?

I get on average 5 emails a week telling me I have won large prizes for my email address, I also receive the same number of emails offering me jobs processing business payments. I am wary of responding even though they are purported to come from international companies with world wide banking facilities. What can I do to stop them.?
