Why did my mom make so much drama?

she's always being overprotective of me...she usually never really lets me go anywhere unless she's there or the person is a well known friend ,but last week my friend wanted to take me to the mall and out to lunch....I asked her if they could pick me up after school and go to the mall and they'd take me home....I just didn't tell her that my friend was a guy in college ..so she said yes...only we got bored at the mall and went somewhere else...and she got mad when I got home because she said she would be running errands that day,but she went to the mall that day too to spy on me(and make it seem like she coincidentally ran into me) when me and my friend got back to my house she got mad because for one,he's a guy, and two she found out where we really went....and then she went off on my friend and she made me talk to this cop guy or something and he gave me a lecture on not going anywhere with ppl my mom doesn't know and blah blah and how I'm too young to do that (btw I'm 14)he said I have to let my mom see who I'm going out with from now on and know where and when we're going in advance ....it's not like I didn't know him,and it's not like I didn't get her permission to go....why'd she hafta tell my business it's not like I did anything wrong...now she made my friend look like the bad guy and made me look like a bad kid...she's just mad cuz her plan to spoil my fun at the mall got ruined...now I can't see my friend again and we're pretty much screwed cuz of her
