Tingling in left arm from glyburide(sp)?

My wife is pregnant and recently stated taking glyburide. she's had some swelling in her hands and this morning hes whole left arm is tingling. Her sugar was an 85 when she woke up. She took the med with a breakfast of a single sausage patty and a hashbrown (water to drink) from McD's. She's trying to balance carbs with protein to keep sugar level steady. An hour later it was 153. What's going on? Is this normal? Is she having an adverse reaction? Thanks to all serious responses!♥
