Why is God so sensitive? What does he care if humans believe he exists or not? Is he insecure?

You are considering God as huge and impersonal. God's nature is love. He desires to give love, have you ever considered the many things on Earth we do NOT need? color as in a sunset? taste as in something you love? smell as in the smell of a lover or fresh air? touch? as in holding hands. We do not need any of these, we were granted these out of his love for us, just as you would give something good to your child or love of your life. Why does he care if humans believe or not? How could he not care, when our purpose in life is to love him in return and others as we love our selves.
